got a question for the Nintendo switch users on here:

I just bought a used Switch. Cons: the joy cons are aftermarket junk and only work when attached.

Pros: whoever sold this thing never disconnected their Nintendo account. There’s like $150 worth of games on this thing that I wanted to buy anyway. Mario Party, ACNH, BOTW, plus the NES/SNES libraries. Afaict, the last time anyone played this was April 2020 (that’s the timestamp of the last screenshot)

What’s a better move: return the switch, saying the controllers don’t work, get my money back, buy a new one

OR

Buy new joycons, hope they never disconnect this switch from their account and remote-wipe the games?
